Location and Surroundings of the Spring

The Fuente de la Belleza is located very close to the old N-432 road. To access it, take a detour at the top of the Cuesta de la Matanza to the left, descending along the Cañada Real Soriana until reaching the spring.

This water source is located right next to the Fuente de El Cordel (to its right), and a wooden sign indicates to visitors both the position of the Fuente de la Belleza and the old canalization towards a nearby pavilion.

Characteristics and Properties

Characteristics and Properties

The spring presents a diffuse water outlet of a characteristic orange color directly in the stream bed, visual evidence of the particular mineral composition that its waters hold.

Although its flow is very low, it has the particularity that it never runs dry. Traditionally, its waters have been highly valued and used for their medicinal properties, especially for the treatment of skin conditions, which is why it was named the Fountain of Beauty (Fuente de La Belleza). Furthermore, among neighbors and locals, the popular belief persists that its waters also possess aphrodisiac qualities.
