Villaharta comes alive to the rhythm of authentic flamenco every August with the celebration of the “Aguamarga” Flamenco Festival. Deeply rooted in local culture, this event has become an undisputed landmark for flamenco lovers, bringing together some of the finest artists on the national scene each year in an evening full of passion and soul.
The strength of this festival lies in the passion of those who make it possible. It is organised by the “La Serrana” Flamenco Club, proudly recognised as one of the oldest and most respected flamenco associations in the entire province of Córdoba. All of this is made possible with the invaluable collaboration of the Villaharta Town Council.
A Night of Art and Tradition
Every August 14th, the stage comes alive to offer a complete experience through the three pillars of flamenco: the soul-stirring Singing, the masterful Guitar Performance that sets the rhythm, and the powerful Flamenco Dance, filling the stage with emotion and visual strength. In historic editions, such as the celebrated XXXIX Festival presented by Rafael Guerra, the event has continued to demonstrate its outstanding artistic level.
Throughout its long history, the “Aguamarga” Festival has welcomed great legends as well as the brightest new talents of flamenco, consolidating Villaharta as an essential meeting point during the warm summer nights of Córdoba.
