Where?
Fairgrounds and streets of the municipality
Organized by
Villaharta City Council
The Villaharta Fair is the climax of the summer and the unmissable event for residents and visitors. Historically, until 1967, this festival was celebrated on May 7th to commemorate the apparition of San Rafael, setting up booths and nougat stalls on the main street.
Today, the Main Festivities fill the municipality with light during the third weekend of July. For four intense days, the City Council organizes a vibrant program full of sports, recreational, and cultural activities for all ages.
An Unforgettable Program
Four days where coexistence, music, and traditions take over every corner of our town.
The Awakening and Noon
The festivities kick off with the traditional “Tamborada” and a breakfast of churros with chocolate. During the “Noon Fair”, brass bands tour the town’s bars accompanying events like the Great Paella.
Games and Tradition
The afternoons are reserved for skill with petanque championships and the “Breaking of Jugs”. One of the highlights is the iconic Ribbon Races, contested on bicycles and motorcycles in pairs.
Booth Nights
With the turning on of the lights, the party moves to the Municipal Booth. The nights vibrate with great orchestras, copla shows, and rociero groups, while the youth enjoy their own Youth Booth.
As a grand finale, the Fair usually dedicates its last day to the eagerly awaited “Children’s Day”, where the fairground rides reduce their price so that the little ones can say goodbye to the festivities with a huge smile.
