The carnival is a popular festival that always enjoys a great tradition in Villaharta. Far from being lost, this celebration is resurging strongly, turning the streets into a stage of joy and self-confidence.

Imagination has no limits and the most common costumes play with the change of roles, challenging conventions in a day of uninhibited fun for all audiences.

Los Pañeros

A group remembered for parodying some merchants who try to sell the women of Villaharta some poor quality cloths, unleashing the laughter of the public.

The Alpechín Controversy

This famous murga humorously reviews the construction of a mill. Its members burst in dressed as alpechineros, divided into two groups that face off singing:

— “Tachín, tachín… the alpechín will not pass through the stream!” — “Tachín, tachín… the alpechín will pass through the stream!”
